We Matter When Trying to Achieve Our Goals

We Matter When Trying to Achieve Our Goals

One of the key strategies for entrepreneurs is to set goals.  However, have you ever noticed that even though you are committed to the goals you set, time goes by and even though you try like mad to make those goals, they allude you time and time again and nothing seems to make sense as to why you don’t reach them.

Albert Einstein once said that doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results is insanity.   So what do we need to do differently.

Recent research from the University of Scranton shows that 92% of people do not achieve their goals. Self-Discipline is required yes, but what is really at the bottom of people, especially Entrepreneurs, not achieving their goals.

One assertion is that some people find goals are actually not achievable if they have had trauma (and trauma here can be as simple as a lack of food) in their lives dating back to their early childhood, and sometimes the effects of trauma can be felt centuries later and handed down to us through our tribal cycles.  What do I mean by this?

We are the product of many thousands of years of human beings being in existence.  A great number of those years were before the Enlightenment or Science as we know it today.  Therefore, our ancestors and previous generations were unable to treat us in the way that helped us to identify who we are, as individuals, unique, loveable, worthy, good enough and then how we belong to the human race, or family.

In that way, we have lost our I-Amness and live our lives according to what our families culture and traditions are, as well as, our societal norms - what is acceptable and what is not.

In reclaiming our I-Amness and restoring our soul to its purity of light, we can achieve our goals from a place of our I-Amness, our internal identity, who we know we truly are - rather than from a role that we have taken on from external sources.  This requires us to look at our internal world and seeing where our beliefs about ourselves, don’t sustain, nurture or challenge us to grow as human beings.

For the next five weeks, we will be looking at the Self Esteem Triad where you will be able to restore what was rightfully yours, your I-Amness, your soul.  We will be able to get in touch with who we really are and not what shame or other character traits people have burdened us with.

If we do this internal work on ourselves, then the benefit is that we are able to fulfil our goals and achieve our dreams that we didn’t think possible.

I know that you are worth it, capable of achieving your dreams and certain that you will.

I look forward to serving you with this weekly column to empower you to do so.

Happy New Year and may 2018 be your best year yet.
